Since 1956, the Eames Lounge chair has combined ultimate comfort with the highest quality materials and workmanship. Charles and Ray Eames were inspired by the traditional British club chair. Creating a lighter, more elegant and modern lounge chair, the Lounge chair is one of the most notable designs by Charles and Ray Eames in the history of modern furniture.

Average human height has increased by nearly 10cm since this iconic design first went into production. Accordingly, Vitra has developed a new larger version of the Lounge Chair, giving customers the option of choosing between the original ‘Classic dimensions’ and the new larger size. Both sets of dimensions are given below.

Herman Miller has the sole license for the Charles and Ray Eames collection in the U.S. and the Far East. Therefore the export of these products from the UK to the U.S. is not possible.
